Hey people... anyone have long arms like me and find a full stock AR15 just at the limit of being too short a pull? Do those 1" spacer really work and help make our guns feel more comrfortable to shoot? If they don't really make much difference, it's not that big a deal. I know there are pads available, too but then I have to find a place for my cleaning kit.

Also, I made the mistake of ordering my 9mm AR with the collapsible 6 position stock which came as standard equipment. As much as I love the 9mm and how fun it is too shoot, I find the stock WAY too short for me even when it's fully extended. I guess I'm going to have to order a regular stock for that gun as it is a bit longer than the collapsible. Do different brands of collapsible stocks have different lenghts or are they all the same?

I have the same problem, 6'6" kinda put together resembling a mountain gorilla. I have better luck with the 6 position stocks with the slip on pad and even then can shoot the rifle with body armor and the stock fully extended. Its one of the prices we pay to be larger than most. That being said there are very few rifles or shotguns that fit me right so I've learned to adapt. In the service they taught us to put our noses against the charging handle for a consistant cheek weld and I can still do that with the stock fully extended.

While I don't have this issue I did find that the ACE SOCOM L stock to be longer than I had expected. While it doesn't have a spot for the cleaning kit like the A2 stock, it will give you that extra length. They ain't cheap either, but stocks for some reason are pretty pricey, dunno why.

"ACE's infamous super heavy duty stock is available now with a full length receiver extension tube. Uses an A1/A2 buffer and spring (not included). Can also use pneumatic recoil systems and on all .308 (7.62 X 51mm) AR type rifles. Length 9.5" to 11.5" in five 1/2" increments. Length of pull from 11.5" to 13.5" measured with out recoil pad. A 1/2" recoil pad is included. Foam cheek rest is approximately 6" long."

But if you're interested, I have one sitting here that isn't getting remounted so I might as well sell it off to add to the Masada fund :)

Hey, thanks, guys... I'll go seeking a good price on the net for the spacer and give it a try on my .223 AR.

As for the 9mm, I'll check out the mentioned stocks and see what is best. This is my fun indoor AR so I kinda wanted the look of the colapsible stock so might just practice to get used to the short pull. After all, it's not for serious AR shooting like my .223 is.

Thanks again. :)
