Figured I would stop by and post up about my new FACOG from 1337 Tactical. This is what I posted over on jeepin.com

My bad here they are so they will be here when you get up

View down the back up irons

View of where the two pieces of the body come together

Top Turret

Side Turret

Rear quarter view. The glass is very clean and clear. The view though it is also crystal clear

Front view

Side Profile view

W/ the detach carry handle attached

You zero at 100 yards and each notch below the cross hairs is another smaller set of cross hairs for every 100 yards all the way to 600 yards.

It's not as tacticool as the real deal Trijicons and lacks the tritium illumination and the fiber optic but for 800 dollars less than the real ACOG I'll take it :D

With the mounted light I am able to see targets as far away as the beam will go and can take shots to that distance.

I also have the detach carry handle with it at all times so if this fails I can just switch them out.

ALSO it will take all the same acc. as the ACOGS will so there will soon be a Doctor mount in place of the rear back up iron and a doctor clone on top of that for close USPSA/IPSC work.
Here is what I posted today after getting back from the range.

Well here's a partial report...........I didn't get it zeroed. The freakin' rail mount they provided had the damn channel that the scope mounts in machined crooked. Freakin' pissed me off. So I BZOed the irons with the new detach carry handle and then came home. I threw it on the detach carry handle and it's perfectly level. So NOW I need to contact the company that sold it and see if they can get me another mount. I'll let ya know how that turned out. I figure that's the price of doing business with an off brand sight. Hopefully the company that sells them will stand behind the product.

I can give a general report though. The BDC is a little hard to read if you are aiming at a dark background. The optics are crystal clear and the view is great. I'll have to post up more when/if I get the new mount. If they won't provide me one I'll probably drop the coin on a throw lever mount.
And according to the review on the website the adjustments are also backwards for some reason.

Right now they are out of stock though.

Can you remove the flat top mount and mount it in the carry handle like the real ones?

Yes sir in fact that is the way it's mounted right now but I have yet to zero it yet as I didn't do that until I got home from the range. It's just kinda funny having it mounted to the top of a detach carry handle LOL. It's also got a "tunnel" to use the carry handle iron sights which seems to work pretty well I can see down the "tunnel" just fine and the front sight post is right there. If they say they won't replace the jacked up mount that came with it I may just end up leaving it on the carry handle and using it that way. Then I have a good set of backup irons "just incase". Edit=or I'll just splurge and get a good flattop mount for it.

Infact in order to mount it to the carry handle you need a Trijicon washer and screw kit. From what I'm hearing all of Trijicon's acc. for the ACOGs will fit this FACOG. That is why there will be a doctor clone on where the rear back up iron is sometime in the future. I would love to have the real deal but I'm not about to drop 1000+ bones on a new one.

What's the price? Did the adjustments track as marked and what are they? 1/4 MOA, 1/8 MOA, ?
170 shipped to my door. I didn't have a chance to zero it as the factory flattop mount was jacked up on it. However the adjustments are backwards from how they are marked and I can't explain that. If you follow the arrows on the turret up=down and Left=right and vice versa. It's spoused to be 1/4 MOA clicks.

my 1337 Facog with Optima 2000 mini red dot

my TA01NSN ACOG as soon as the mount gets here it will have the Trijicon Mini Red Dot on top  ACOG was "used" $599 ;)

let me look at the mounts and see if the real TA51 is the same as the fake

Hmmmm... I actually wouldnt mind getting something like this. I don't beat on my rifles, so the extra $800 on an ACOG would probably be a waste.

Anyone know if any of the mounts for putting a mini-red dot on there work with the Burris Fastfire?

The Docter mount is supposed to work with the Burris. for the NSN model it would be the MS11.......I've got one that I ordered by mistake, I needed the MS13 :) so I ordered that one. If your looking I'd let it go for $50 shipped, I paid $60 + S/H

They look similar in the pics. I may have to get some real deal trijicon parts for my FACOG LOL. :D
OK, they look the same to me but I didn't take my FACOG off the mount ;)

I have the TA51 mount that was on the one in the picture above, replaced it with a LaRue mount

New these are $72 on Trijicons website, I usually see them used on AR15.com EE for $35, if you want to try it I'll take $30 shipped to you.
If it doesn't help let me know and I'll buy it back :D How's that sound ?

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not in a position to get that scope right now... Hell, all my guns are 300 miles away :(

Nice pics. The ACOGClone is not a bad peice of equipment. I got to sample one and it does the job. I don't think it is worth the price of admission though. For the same price you can pick up a Millet. Glass on the Millet is much more clearer and Millet has illuminated reticle.

Once you use a real ACOG though it is hard to go back. I think the real deal ACOGs are worth every penny. If the Millet did not exist, then I would say the ACOGclones are also worth the price.

But I have to say, those ACogclones do look cool.

I also have one of these facogs but I found it on ebay for just over a hundred bucks. I put and jpoint replica on top of it and it works out really good. However, I will be buying the Burris Fastfire soon because I like the idea of the on/off switch.

Got another mount (a true Trijicon ACOG mount) for it and it was still crooked. I can't explain it. It works just fine mounted to a carry handle but when you try to put it on the flattop mount the crosshairs are crooked.
Guess I'll keep it on the carry handle since the little "tunnel" on the riser for the ACOG allows the use of the stock sights. A built in backup I can shoot a few hundred yards with.
So I can't explain this it baffles me [:|]
Also I NEVER received an e-mail back from 1337 tactical about sending me a new mount. It's been well over a week now with no response.
Price of doing business on the cheap though [B)]
