So here is the deal, I'm considering getting a .22 conversion for my AR-15, however, my twist rate is 1x7 and I've read that this twist rate doesn't like the 40gr .22 rounds.

Can any of you twist rate experts shed a little light on this for me.

The .224 bore doesn't like the .221 22lr lead either.

I guess I'd better learn to like wolf, or keep buying the factory reloads. I've gotta get off my butt and start reloading.

The DPMS 22lr uppers aren't that expensive. Save up your ammo money and get a dedicated upper. The bushmaster uppers are also inexpensive.
