·Does anyone here have an AR15 setup for 7.62x39? I'm really intrigued by alternative caliber ARs, and the cost of 7.62x39 has really peaked my interest.
The first hand is ussually the most experienced...Hooz said:Oh, I've already Googled the crap out of it and found plenty of info... I was just looking for first-hand experience.
I can tell you .22 AR's (see signature) are a lot of fun for kids and women... Beyond that, it's a big waste of metal... If you are looking for a different caliber AR, go AR-10, .308... I think it may very well be my next build.xd4life said:I shot one a while back, I think it was an Olympic. I was not impressed that much with it, it jammed up a couple of times, It was fun to shoot but i think if I was gonna have a AR in another caliber it would be either .22, or something like a 10mm. But make it like Olympic did with there 9mm that uses standard Glock Mags. Nothing thrills me about a AR in 7.62, I guess it's cause my SKS and AK shoot's it and shoots it well. A pistol caliber would be cool, Again I think a 10mm would be cool.
Did'nt Highpoint make a 10mm rifle???
Do you own an AK? I think bolt .308 was a good choice.Hooz said:AR10 was going to be my next build, but I decided on a .308 bolt-gun instead. It should be done soon... Whenever my rings and bases come in, that is.![]()
