I am buying a new jig and going to do several lowers. I have a couple of friends that would like to do 80% lowers as well but are a little concerned. I know they have to physically mill the lower themselves, but is there anything else I should be aware of before having a 80% party? I live in Illinois. Is there any laws or regualtions I should know about before hand?

Unless it real important that there is no FFL trail- why do it?? With Anderson receivers on sale (at times) for $29.99- it's not worth it to me other than to say you did. I am not a machinist- maybe it is not that hard. If I really wanted untraceable I buy one from a gunshow from a non dealer.

BTW: I am coming to understand no one is on this forum anymore. I think almost all the "guest" users are coming in through Google searches on a subject- not coming in to this site.

You might try AR15.com instead of this AR!5forums.com.
