How do you likes them?? i like the looks of it better than a"standard"AR. Price is $699  , but I know I can get it cheaper....pros/cons, issues?? I only need info on the 180, I pretty much know all the personality traits of ARs....

Here is my thread on the one I bought earlier this year
http://www.hs2000talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=29367&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Only real problem I had was with the front sight housing which also is part of the gas system. I had the housing pulled too tight against the handguards and doing that turned the rifle into a single shot manual repeater. The gas port has to be lined up just right for the rifle to function.
My rifle is very accurate and although it looks similar to a AR-15, it handles a bit differently. The mechanism is well designed and is easy to take completely apart. Chambered for 5.56 ammo and I will not use Wolf ammo in it again. Wolf must be slightly out of spec for this rifle and jams tightly into the chamber. Federal .223 works just fine. I recently bought a detachable scope mount and will try it out later when I have money for a decent scope to put on it.

Whats going on "Mr. AK"? is the darkside calling you? :p

Hey now, I'd say that the AR180 is drawing close to a perfect harmony between the AK and the AR. That said, I'd love to get my hands on a Daewoo.

That price is better than the one I saw here for $720 in GA, FWIW.

Never  ........just liked its looks and layout. Now goofy forward assist or sounds from the butt when you charge it. Just looks interesting, and easier on the eyes than the AR.

Mmmmmm....I could seriously go for a K2.....

$? Not that I have it, just curious. I see one on Gunbroker for $1300.

Damn we missed out. Short story time:

There's a store called Roses' near where we live, and used to, for some reason, they sold guns. This was a store that catered mostly to the lower income segment, yet, you go to the electronics section and there are RACKS of Mosins, Mausers (8mm, swedish  , FR-8s ), SVTs  , Enfields , and also, FALs and Daewoos.

I was young then. Very young. My dad was buying guns left and right (except for the SVT that he was gonna get for $250 and then didn't....grrr. ). He got me a Century L1A1 -- this was during the ban, so it had the asshole stock on it. The gun simply did not fit me, and it sucked to shoot, even for full grown adults. They'd turned the right arm of the free world into an ergonomic disaster. In any case, they also had Daewoos....and OMG. *sigh* I STILL regret that...however old I was, I didn't know better, he didn't know better, the internet wasn't around really to tell us any better, but that he didn't get one. THEY WERE $450!!!!!

You and me both brother. First rifle I ever bought was a FAL from Rose's. Imbel receiver, imported by Century, but had the metric SFA lower! Got an original furniture set from TAPCO for like $25. After I almost killed my self with the op spring in the butt, it worked great. HAd to sell it later on though..........

The Daewoo K2 is $1150, K1 is $1000, FNC para is $1100........i wish I had that much money to spend.......

Hey, I went to see him today after I got your PM. its on layaway BUT if the guy folds on it I am next in line....price is $1850 for the 'under priviledged'. mine would be $1100. i will keep you posted. The guy has 30 days from last Monday to pay it off. If he defaults, I have no trouble hooking you up. What else are you after, I have lots of connections...

K1 would be nice, but you have noooo idea how bad I've got it for an FNC. I got to shoot one once, and let me tell you, I've never had a gun just do it for me like that. I picked it up, thought "Damn this feels nice", pulled the trigger once, and that was enough -- I knew right then and there I absolutely had to have one.

But then again, I've got the FN-disease bad bad. :)

Thanks a lot einheit! :D

(By the way, that avatar is from the episode where Fry drank 100 cups of coffee in a day. I'm a certified caffaholic, and also have red hair, so I thought it a perfect avatar. :))
