With the way the political winds are blowing in this country, I fear more than just a cosmetic ban coming on our black rifles. I have been considering purchasing some spare parts so I have them if I am unable to buy new in the future. What parts should I be getting?

I'm no expert on what all the parts in the rifle. i haven't shot it a whole lot. Should I be looking at the firing pin, all springs and the seals? Also a new bolt assembly and charging handle. Probably a new barrel as well. But what other parts? It almost seems worth it for me to stock up on almost enough stuff to build a new rifle.

I do plan on hopefully buying 1 more AR before things get too bad. But I do need to make sure I have spare parts so I'm not left with a gun out of commission for the rest of it's life, should a ban on the guns and all it's parts come down in the future.

So give me a list of must haves, and should haves.

I try to help when I can. I've gained ALOT of info from 10-8 forums about my AR. Just look around it's a good site and not as "busy" as ARFCOM.

This is where I started and am working my way up to the complete parts kit. My post above is mainly for Heavily used guns, most wont see that much use and hopefully need all those parts. I just like to be prepared.

This is a complte kit I like this a lot

I think though if theres a complte band where you can't even get parts you won't do much shooting at all.
