Just wondering if anyone could tell me if the armalite ar15 is a good gun.
I know a guy who has a coulpe and will sell me one for 700

just wondering if its a good deal or should I go for a bushmaster or something else.

I like mine, I have the heavy stainless barrel flat top, It will put 5 into a 1/2" group at 100 if I do my part. Black hills Blue box heavy match shoots incredible in this rifle. I've been to lazy to try handloading But I think the Black hills will be hard to beat.

im getting a Rock River standard a2 for $780. Armalite is made just down the road from RRA. If its new Id say go for it.

700 is quite low for an Armalite, at least considering how much they go in my area. Armalites are good rifles, my buddy in the Marines just got one for himself.

I have a slightly different Armalite

AR-180b
I had a slight problem because I didn't line up the front sight housing with the gas port on the barrel, but once I figured it out, the rifle is 100%. My rifle is very reliable and accurate. Chambered in 5.56 and will not work with Wolf ammo (jams into the chamber). I guess those are slightly out of spec. Works fine with American Eagle .223

Thanks for the info. The guy who has them is a friend of my dads who bought them a while back(not sure how long) but he said he got a good deal and bought a few of them and the people who were supposed to buy them backed out(you know how that goes) anyway he is just tring to get them sold. so I might go ahead and get one if it shoots as good as my buddies bushmaster it should be a great gun.
