I know this is a very vague question… but what is the best ar15 I can buy ? Im looking for something reliable and durable that’s been proven, not becuase i need it but because I want it lol. I’ve pieced together custom bolt rifles and I have high end bolt rifles but I don’t know much about the ar15… I do know of Lmt and kac and those are the two brands I’m looking at, mainly the Lmt mars L 16”

I've owned Bushmaster, S&W, Palmetto and Bear Creek AR15s over the last 20 years or so.

In my opinion, if you want to walk into a local gunshop and buy a decent AR15 at a fair price with a great warranty, I would recommend the S&W M&P 15. Next would be the Ruger AR556.

If you are comfortable getting one from an online retailer, that would be shipped to a local FFL, I would recommend Palmetto first, followed by Bear Creek. Both offer great warranty support but I find Palmetto to be a bit higher initial quality.

Also, if you get one, I suggest getting one of these manuals before asking tons of strangers how to maintain your rifle:

The M16A1 Rifle: Operation and Preventive Maintenance: Department of the Army: 9798363972669: Amazon.com: Books

Be well!

I'd look at Palmetto State Armory. https://palmettostatearmory.com/. The best bang for the buck. I have several and would highly recommend. If you want "high end", look at Daniel Defense. I have a few and they are great. However, it would be really hard to justify the difference in price to PSA.
Everything that Lexington said. The S&W is hard to beat.
