Ca dept of criminals

I bought a new ( private sale) Ruger Cal compliant AR. Took it to the store the guy bought it from last year to transfer it. 15?days and I go to pick up the AR and there is a 30 day hold on it because the gun the store sold last year might be stolen or I might be a prohibited person. Mine you I used my ccw as part of the paperwork. Went back in after 30 days and nothing has changed. There is no determination on weather it’s a stolen gun or I’m prohibited. I thought the store had to release the firearm to me sense there is no movement from the car dept of criminals.
