I LOVE Bushmaster's Cali-legal AR... The idea that you can put all the evil features you want on it... HA!

Overkill,

The only evil feature you can do is take the "pin" outta the magazine/lower receiver so you can put in a 20-30 rounds.

Ridiculous law that does no good.

Mail Clerk :?

I was under the impression that because it has a fixed magazine, it is no longer covered by their "Assault weapons ban", so you can throw on your bayonette, collapsible stock, flash hider, threaded barrel, etc...

i don't think the point of that rifle is that is california leagal. Most rifels with that kinda competition things done to it are single shot bolt actions.

Quoted from Bushmaster's website:

This unique Carbon 15 model has been developed specifically for the California market (and other States with similar restrictions). It offers traditional AR-15 type features, rugged Carbon Fiber composite molded Receivers for light weight and durability, and a 10 Round Internal Magazine.

If you live in CA and want to build a .223 self-loading black rifle, I would suggest reading the discussions on Calguns.net.
