I like RRA myself, However lots of DPMS gun owners are in my shooting club. I have seen some of these guns that have been beat and battered to hell and they go bang every time. One of the guys that shoots in my friends club has a DPMS that is 100% stock except for a EOtech. 30,000 rounds and never a failure...

The DPMS AR10 is a fair to medium quality entry into the .308 AR platform. You can make the weapon far better and more reliable. Get it, shoot the tar out of it.. fix what doesn't work and add on what you want. It's not a bad weapon by all accounts, just not a "Great" weapon by those same accounts.

I had a DPMS Panther LR308B, it had teething problems right out of the box on milsurp ammo and I have alot of surplus so I pushed new production thru it and still had issues so I sent it in to open up the throat and chamber to cycle 7.62 ammo, still had issues but not as bad when I got it back so I sold it off for a M1A from SAI
The M1A has been 100% and I have pushed about 800-1000 thru the tube with NO FAILURES!!! on any ammo

Maybe I should have given the DPMS a time to break in but I needed a rifle that could go more than 60trnds without needing cleaning

Maybe they have resolved the ammo issues but go to there sight and look at the ammo warnings and check www.ar15.com

I have an AP4 (M4gery) and have no problems to report. I would buy another one and have been considering a 308 from them.
