·Gander Mtn. (not a huge fan of them, but...) has an S&W M&P15 on sale for $799.00 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Good? bad? can get better for better price? Haven't heard or looked for much info on the S&W AR's.
its nice to have, more flexible with the accessories. I planned to practice on iron sights first then later maybe get opticsYes, it's a decent deal. Do you know which specific model it is? If it's the M&P15A (flat-top with Troy BUIS), it's a fair price. There is a M&P15 with a removable carry handle...I don't really see the point in those.
I mean I don't see the point of the removable CH if you have the option of a flip rear sight, especially a good one like the Troy that the M&Ps come with.its nice to have, more flexible with the accessories. I planned to practice on iron sights first then later maybe get optics
I've been KILLED DEAD several times for buying stuff. It hasn't had any ill affect on me...well...there is that scar...and, I do walk with a slight limp. Oh, I forgot to mention...shoot! I can't remember...Haven't held it in my hands. I just got a flyer on it in the mail today. It is a flat top model from the pictures. 16" barrel, CAR stock, optics ready, 30-rd mag. Might go look at one tomorrow to get the specifics.
Wife's gonna kill me if I buy another gun. Unless its for her.
Actually they ad I have says $799.95 after the $100 mail-in rebate. $699 and I believe I'd get it just to have. The new Smith & Wesson M&P 15 OR Carbines are great sellers, they are $799; and you still receive the $100 rebate. (Net out at $699) They are a great buy, and you have all the flexibility you can dream of
