I really thought people would be interested in this. They said it shipped already so hopefully I'll have it by the weekend.

I just got rid of a millet. it wasnt a dms though it was their trs 4-16. I was nothing but absolutely thrilled with it, image was crystal clear, the optic was comparable to some of my friends much higher end scopes, but at a fraction of the cost. If and when i go back to magnified optics on my m4gery it will likely be a dms, hell id get one of the gen1at this price. if it breaks you just send it back and they replace it with a new generation one. Hard to beat that

I was a little worried myself, but I checked Millett's vendors listed on their website and this company is listed. The umbrella company for smokewagongear.com is:
Kiesler Police Supply*
3300 Industrial Pkwy
Jeffersonville, IN 47130
Phone: 812 284-0077

I think they are good to go. I will hopefully have it by this weekend so I'll let ya'll know. If they aren't then I will return it.

I think I'm going to call them today.. is there a difference (for those who have them) between the Gen1 and 2 scopes and the cosmetics (the focus ring teeth is what sticks out) besides the placement of the illumination control?

The click windage/elevation adjustments are also different.

I actually prefer the Gen I. I'm debating ordering another now, just to have, if it is indeed a Gen I.

I got some Burris high tactical rings to mount the DMS. I am just hoping it will clear the front sight post and my ARMS 40L rear sight. I got them for $35 for the pair.

That's one of the ring sets I tried, but you can't get the scope far enough forward unless you put the front ring on the forend.

That's why I switched to a one-piece mount.

I don't mind doing that because I have a railed handguard that is FF so I should be ok. Do you remember if you were able to see over the sight post at 1x?

You really don't want to mount an optic half on the receiver and half on a FF even if it is attached.

That's why most people went with the Larue SPR-E to get the eye relief.

Well I can't afford to spend $200 on a mount right now. So I have to get by with what I can afford. I won't really know how I am going to mount it or where until I get the scope. Hopefully the rings I bought will be high enough to clear my rear buis and the front sight post. If not, well I plan on eventually buying a flip up front sight gas block. In the mean time I may cut down the front sight base and remove the rear buis. Who knows.
