Standard iron sights (F Post) are very accurate. Learn them before going to an opticHow do you like the iron sights on it?
Good to hear.Carbine gas systems are normally harsher.
That being said, Colt has carbines down to a science. it's all about gas port size, and Colt can control theirs to a point that the rifle is extremely reliable without being harsh.
I like the front post. The magpul flip up is cool since it has two diameter holes. I don't know nearly as much as others do here on AR's. Just what I've read. Which is admittedly a lot.How do you like the iron sights on it?
The two different peep sights on the rear are for short distance( large peep) and long distance(small peep). Practice using them both and know what limits you have for each oneI like the front post. I've seen a few posts concerning the Colt 6940 with its Monolithic receiver/rail. The Colt Non-monolithic 6920 weighs, according to Colt, 6.95 lbs. The 6940 weighs, according to Colt, 7.1 lbs. So yes, the 6940 Is heavier than the 6920, 1.5 ounces.I was thinking about getting a 6940 here in a little bit. I have a 6920 already but I like the all one peice upper style. I have heard the 6940 is heavier than the 6920.
