It could be either one. I would take a good look at the sights and check if they are mounted properly. Then go to a rifle range start at 25 yards and work from there. It won't take you long to figure out what the problem is.
Magpul Back- up Sights
Recently, I was bore sighting my Colt 6940. It came with Magul folding sights. I'm using a dummy cartridge lazer.
As I was adjusting the sights, in order to get them lined up with the Lazer dot, I had to crank the rear sight all the way to the stop to the left. This doesn't seem right.
Could I have a defective sight, lazer, or both?
