I put money down to hold until I get paid. They had a S&W M&P and I also tried the trigger on a Bushmaster. The RRA had the best trigger than the bush then the S&W. What brand of light and any other goodies do you all recommend I get.

How much? Inquiring minds want to know!

It all depends on what you want to shoot and how you want to shoot.

Scope, red dot, etc.....

Try it out first then research your options depending on how you want to shoot.

There are a million options for configuring it.

It took me weeks to figure out what I wanted to do. I have both a scope and red dot type.

1k out the door. I am not sure what model I even got. I due want to ad a sure fire light that is part of the handle that mounts to the rail. Does anyone know how much they cost? I also want to get a hollo gragh sight.

I picked up a used RRA National Match AR-15 and love it! I did put a red dot on it as well as a bipod and enjoy shooting it with that configuration. Of course, those two options can be removed in seconds if necessary.

Anyway, enjoy your purchase! :)

Oh, I picked mine up for under $700 - those deals are out there - you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Like I said I don't now what model I got. For all I know it could retail for 1,500k. I got good deals there before like a Kel-Tec SU-16 425. Kimber G/R 1,100 S/A TRP Operator 1,300. these are the cheepest prices in town.
G
i'm looking at a RRA also for $950 + tax.it has a houge grip and some other things on it. judging by the tone it sounds like a good deal. inputs?
G
Depends on witch one it is. Does it have a quad rail and hogue grips?
G
m4 type upper oval hand gaurd with the dent in the barrel in front of the fixed sight. flat top with an attached iron sight mounted to the flat top and that has rails to.

Last November, I bought a RRA Entry Tactical with Surefire rails for $1000 + $30 FFL.
G
Built my AR from stag components, all new, for about $700, plus $45 for a red dot sight.

you can spend $500, you can spend $2000. as long as you have what you want and are comfortable with what you paid, great.

around here, AR's are uncommon, and you'll pay out the nose for one..hency why i built my via online vendors.

...now if i could just get some damn ammo for less than a small fortune!
G
Got the entry level myself and sure enjoy it. Put a good scope on it and it does great at 300 meters.

I found the reatail for my RRA and it is 1,400. I decided I am going with this HOLO http://www.opticsforyou.com/product-697-14-2-1.html. And as far as ammo I have seen it foe 130 for 1k rounds. I was going to get a surefire fore grip light but 465$ is crazy. I will get the front grip and take the M6 off my TRP and use it on the AR. I also have a really nice bipod that is on my Kel-Tec SU-16 if I need it. This is the scope I have on the Kel-Tec right now http://www.opticsforyou.com/product-6010-0-9-1.html

I just picked up a Bushmaster M4/A3 type carbine, but haven't even been to the range yet. So all I can say is it looks nice ;) I'm sure the shooting part will be great too....Maybe get a Holo sight one of these days??

I talked to the guy at the gun store and he said it is not on the sight yet and that is why I coudn't find it. I was surfing the net yesterday and found what I am pretty sure is what I am getting. http://www.questar.ca/rra/rra_rifles.htm (CAR A4 w/6 Pos Stock & Quad Rail ) The sales guy said it was a LAR-15  I know it is what I want. I did see that they got in a Armalite AR-10. Now I am not sure if I want that instead.
G
i just got locked in for an RRA entry tactical. i got it for 1k plus change. but the price was for 4 extra mags and 280 rds ammo and a soft case.
G
I reccomend an EOTech Holosight. If your RRA is a flat top, the some knock down BUIS. This should give you a good co-witness setup. For a light Surefire is great but take a look also at Pentagon Lights.

Also look or consider a Tango down grip. For Slings Vickers come out with a very impresive 2 point solution. Most importantly you'll need mag's. C Products LLC make some value 30rds with good quality, and you can get them for around $10. and just for a little more I reccomend you get SS springs on those mags.

Back to the light; Get at leats a 60 Lumens output light. LED light are not as "bright" but have great battery life.
G
thanks for all of that info.
