S&W M&P-15?!?

I handled one today at my local dealer. The standard verison was around a grand. They had a Bushmaster also for about $100 less. The Smith had more features but other than that they looked identical. Any opinions on which is the better rifle? Last AR15 type I handled was the M16A1.

While these are supposed to be unveiled at the SHOT show, the darn magazines just hit the street too early.

I think they were unveiled at the SHOT show in Vegas that just happened in February. I don't know why S&W would introduce a high-end AR, but I'm sure their marketing dept has the data to back it up.
