I thought it was a great deal and was about to buy it. That was until I went into Academy Sporting goods that afternoon and seen the same exact rifle for 874.00. No shipping or FFL fee's either.

Damn, that's pretty good.

You know it just occured to me......I already own an EBR and I still look around for deals on them...I think I may have a problem.

I still can't buy S&W anything. I know, I know, different company now than it was back then.

I still can't forgive them.

Meh, you can buy a complete upper and lower and build the exact same thing (sans the S&W name) for $700...
Lower looks completely milspec for most of the parts. So yah you could prob build it for 700ish, for 900ish you can have the same gun with a match trigger and some other good bits.

Holy f*ck that's an unbelieveable price... That rifle is 1300 retail...

The $850 one most likely wasn't the M&P15A, just the M&P15, they are difference (sights).

Oh yeah, and the S&W AR15's are made by the same company that makes Stag :)

I dunno bout yall, but I have a problem paying $200 for a name on the side...

If you have any questions regarding Bud's, they are a super retailer. I live about 1.5 hours from them and drive there for most of my purchases. They are very reputable.

Bud's is kinda hit & miss on deals. Still the cheapest place around for most handguns and lucky for me it's local. :p
