Ain't nothin' better than seein' a kid with a smile and a firearm.

I have a couple of those kinds of pics. Both my boys like to go out shooting with me. I just wish I could afford to feed all of my firearms, dogs, kids, and myself properly. :D

nice AR...how well does that scope work? is it worth the $$ or should i just save up for something else

Nice Busy! I have put an ACOG on my Busy M4 along with a Surefire M500A weapon light. I was surprised how heavy they get when you start hanging stuff off of them. :D

If you haven’t been shooting, or more specifically, buying 223/5.56 lately the cost of this stuff has skyrocketed and is becoming hard to find.

it was not expensive it was only 40 and it seems like once i zero it in at 100yds it will work..the adjustment goees as high as 500yds so once i zero at 100yds i just have to click to 200yds and it should work w/o touching any dials..so i hope i can zero it soon..i just want to try 200 to 400yds thats all..

Do you have a big box sports store around you? Something like Gander Mountain, Sportsmans Warehouse, Cabela's or Bass Pro? Any one of those can do a quick boresight for you. I only suggest that as a fall back...

So what exactly is the question about sighting that guy in?

Well i tried the new scope at 100yds so i can zero it in but i am pretty sure i am hitting high, so i did the adjustments and still same results, i will try at 25yds and then move to 50yds once i get that i'll go 100yds again just to make sure i am hitting at 25 or 50..

congrats, :D Youve just fallen prey to the cheapskate syndrome its a curious disease that affects alot of rifle shooters, Its symptoms start with plunking down the better part of a grand on a rifle then puting a recycled beer can on it that some call a scope. After youve gone through 3 or 4 cheap scopes you'll see the light. Save your money for a good one that wont fail leave the junk alone. Think Leupold, Bushnell Elite series, Sightron, Burris. All of these companies produce a fine quality product that will give years of trouble free service. Tasco, Simmons, Barska, and all the rest of the Chinese crap will eventually let you down. You get what you pay for.

Wow bigun... Brutal but true enough.

i know what you guys mean but i just want to try long distance once in a while..i usually just use my ar from 25yds to 50yds..

Your kid secretly desires an ACOG.

Sorry Having a bad day but then I dont usually candy coat things I feel strongly about. I am also a benchrest shooter and see $1000+ rifles with cheap optics on them all the time by people just getting into the sport and they get frustrated early and quit not because of a lack of talent but out of frustration because their equipment lets them down. Cheap scope breaks or doesnt track true or wont focus newbie blames a perfectly good rifle and sells it for a loss. Seen it over and over.
G
I didn't disagree with ya Bigun.. I went through a cheapo optics phase, but I did learn a whole lot about what I like and don't like in a optic and mounting options. Then again I'm stuck with a whole gaggle of lower end optics... ahh well maybe a yard sale is in order :)
G
bigun, do you know of any of these people who are selling their rifles for a loss believing they are faulty. I don't mind taking advantage of someone like that.:D
