Rock River Arms or Olympic?

RRA is respectable Oly makes pure CRAP. I know this from experience. I will never spend another cent at Oly.

Another vote for RRA. Own a RRA M4ergy and won't own anything else. Next up finishing the RRA 24" Varmint rifle.:p

RRA - Without a second thought, or even a hint of a question. No explanation needed.

+1,000 for RRA

Great product!

I own an Oly Arms and I like it a lot.I needed a patrol rifle for my car and it was all I could afford at the time.I have added items to the rifle when money was available to make it a really great rifle but if you have the money get a RRA or DPMS (DPMS is hard to find) rifle. My brother got an Oly Arms and sent it back for milling problems and they gave him a hard time.Eventually he got his money back.Oly Arms have an unconditional money back gaurantee but they will give you a challenge returning it.

If I were in the market for an entry-level AR right now, I'd be sorely tempted to order an ADS from G&R Tactical for $825. This appears to be the best deal on the market today.

Barring that, I would look seriously at saving up the money for a Colt or LMT. Next, I would pick RRA or Stag, but make sure that I "upgraded" the BCG IAW what has already been posted in other threads vis-a-vis the gas key staking and extractor upgrades.

im going to go with oly..
only cause i dont want it to feel left out:rolleyes:

I had an Oly PCR-99, and had quite a few problems with it at first. A lot of gas system issues. Once an armorer figured it out for me, it was flawless after that.

I have heard nothing but good things about RRA. I think I would be tempted to lean toward the RRA!

while i havent shot mine yet i did a bit of research and everywhere i looked said DMPS was a very good reliable and accurate weapon only draw back is that they use chromolly on the chamber where nearly everyone else uses chrome. upside is that they are relatively in expensive i researched the model i got and new retail was was around the $750-$800 i paid $500 so apparently they dont hold a lot of resale value but im pretty sure i can probably resell mine for what i paid for it, that said i knew it wasnt exactly what i was looking for when i bought it and as soon as i can come up with some cash i will be exchanging several of my parts. until it is more of what i wanted. i may eventually just save up and buy a complete new LMT upper and mount it on my DMPS lower.

I had a dpms (classic 16) but sold it (needed money) good gun the only thing i saw was that the upper and lower was a little loose witch could be fixed with the wedge. now i have an oly (k3b m4) it seams to be a good gun and just as accurate the upper and lower are tighter than the dpms so for me the oly seems to a good gun i have put about 4000 rounds in with no problems

the upper and lower seem to be very tight on the one i have but thier is a lot of play in the collapsable stock, im not sure if this is normal or not, but i am eventually planning on replacing it with a Dark earth collapsable stock Vltor clubfoot carbine stock
