What did you get? Was it lighter because you went with a polymer lower.

It was lighter because i went with an all new build! Left the quadrail off, and just had a platic magpul, got rid of the stock for an A2, and went iron sights for it. It was only like 9lbs, but the new one was around 5.5 give or take. I bought a bolt gun to run with optics.

 

Here is a midwest industries 15 on a 16 inch barrel. Once the OMG this looks good effect wore off i got rid of it for a lighter one.

Rock river arms TRO-XL measures 15.5. The top rail is the full length of the handguard. The sides and bottom is up to you what you put and their accessory rail comes in different lengths

I put a 12" MI on my 16". You an go as long as you want so long as it stay behind any muzzle openings.

 

As long as you clear the gas block you can go as long as you want. I have a 15" MI handguard on a 16" barrel.

 

The 6.8 spcII I built a few years ago had a low profile gas block and rifle length freefloated forend.


I liked the feel of it.


And extended sight radius before I added the optic.

 

this is a 12.7" troy on a 14.5 with a pinned 1.5.

Samson has a 15" handguard. It's pricey, but nice. It's what I've got on my 18" barreled 3-gun rifle. It's not a full quadrail, but it has minirails you can add anywhere you want the rail to go. Much easier on the hand if you're not using a vertical foregrip or an angled foregrip.

 

Actually the PSA is a closer to what i am looking for since i don't have a SS barrel. I do like the look of the first one too!! I was going add an aim point pro and a backup flip front sights with a micro low profile gas block. So right now it is down to those two! Thanks!

 

15" is the longest. You'll have to figure out a gas block, front sight configuration to use one.

Here is a 12" quad rail on my 16" stainless barrel. It's just the cheap 40$ one I found on Amazon. I would like to have a full 15" rail but refuse to spend the money on it.
